If a team member drops out that may be a technical disqualification? Usually they let the 3 other contiune but not register as a proper time

In the past a team of three finishers was listed as incomplete. Perhaps this is what disq means.
The Carnethy Ladies felt very disappointed, having lost around 50 minutes on what is the easiest part of the course - Derwent Edge to Lost Lad. I wonder what exactly was the mistake they made. They could have finished in well under 9 hours. Perhaps they will be back to claim another new record!

I got the impression that they forgot to turn right after Lost Lad?

I asked Angela and I think that is what she said. But the split between Derwent Moor and Lost Lad is around 50 min too long. Perhaps they then came back up and dibbed again?

May be they didn't swerve to the left at the trig and effectively lost Lost Lad u

They carried on past back tor for 20 mins, and had to retrace and make the turn for lost lad

This was our (the Southwell Gazelles*) first time at the HPM and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. What a brilliant event. The weather and conditions underfoot just couldn't have been better. We were one of the early starting teams and looking back from Howden Edge to the torchlight procession following behind was a sight to behold.
The sunrise on Bleaklow was just serene, and the whole experience is one we'll never forget.

Totally agree with that, what a sporting bunch they were, and good to see Harriet get a mention. She is a veteran of many BG supports including both my attempts and trotted alongside us all the way in from Snake Pass. No bother!

*I would like to make it public knowledge that our team name was not chosen or supported by me!
