how come I get 0 for New Chew? sort of knew it would be a low score but...! just curious how the calculation is done.

March - can I be put down for the Dark & White Mini MM please.
April - Herod Farm Fell Race and maybe Kinder Downfall. timings not ideal for me as they're quite close.

    Re: Forum Champs

After a barren Feb (stag do and man flu scuppered decent racing opportunities) I have started March with a good 80 Points for Cloud 9 (winner 54:54 / me 1:06:06) - am 8 minute improvement on last year, keep that up and next year i'll be snapping at Mr Baileys heals (for about the first 100m!)

Just a reminder that this Sunday, it's the Ian Roberts race from Marsden CC.
As your host for the day, it'll be my pleasure to welcome a few Forum Champs contenders along!
We promise to feed you afterwards as well.
    Cheers,
    Phil

If you're double the winning time or more you'll score 0.

Scrap that, it won't work for a points based 'O' event. Your elapsed time running is actually less than the winners, hence it shows up as 0. But the overall result is based on points, not time. No idea how you'd calculate a forum champs score!

nor could I work out how to do the calculation, but a zero seems a bit harsh. happy to take it if someone can explain how they calculated it. I'm doing another score event in March so need to know!

    Re: Forum Champs

cyclops - as I said in Post#675: "score events are on a sliding scale between the winner's points and half the winner's points (i.e. on the principle that if you go at half the winner's pace in a normal race you'd get double the time and hence zero points, and if you go at half the winner's pace in a score event you'd get half their score) so I'm afraid that 30 compared to 140 doesn't get you any points!"

There is an example calculation where I used this principle on myself last December for a Dark & White event (see post#493 on Page 50)
