Agreed. He's got bags of potential, but £8m could do a lot for our squad.

Not sure it'd be the best move for him though. Looks to me like another case of a talented young player being gobbled up by a top club to play in the reserves and keep a spot on the bench warm.

Not shocked but sad to see McDermott sacked at Reading..

Him and Adkins both paid the price for being too successful on meagre bugets.. too much too soon..

Di canio will be a huge risk..

"Rooney will never leave Man Utd" - Bobby Charlton .

Last week Ferguson insisted there was no way Rooney will be allowed to leave the club this summer - ("we didn't burn him" )

Its getting like a 'League of Gentlemen' at Old Trafford these days

Nothing like bigging up a player's worth before flogging him to the highest bidder?

Rooney? He isn't worth much.. 3 years in him at most. I'd be shocked if he's a giggs.. even a Ferdinand.

He'll get another contract at Man U worth a lot less than he's on now. He's a top player but he's rapidly reaching his 30's and he'll finish early.

Hopefully we await the usual 'new manager' sudden improved team performance this weekend

Aye.. I think if we take 3 points.. 15 points.. 27 to play for... its then a massive gap.. w've still some hard games.. we'll see..

Incredible how Everton have beaten you 4 years on the trot.. didn't see it.. couldn't even listen due to rights but all text updates (BBC, guardian, Mail) suggested it was a deffo second red and a penalty...

This time last year United had played 29 = 70 pts, City 28 66 points and a superior goal difference (+3).

This year, United 28 = 71 points, City 29 = 59 points and United have superior goal difference (+12).

TBH if City catch us that goal difference will almost certainly be about level again..

We need a win tonight to not give City belief.. we actually have a tougher run in..

Not even worth talking about, Utd win tonight and can then probably afford to get no more points this season and still win, City are poor and so inconsistent, Mancini has to be odds on to get the axe between now and the start of next season.
Maybe he'll take the Leeds job :w00t:

Personally I will support Mancini until the end of his tenure.

I am however concerned that maybe the players aren't wanting to play for him. Why this is I will never know but it will still not stop my support of him
