    He's probably just left a used running sock in the back of he car.

    I've done that a couple of times, and it is pretty revolting after a week or so.

    Well I just changed my first bulb on my MK7 Fiesta. I had to remove the whole headlight unit to change an indicator bulb :thunbdown: Thank goodness for tinternet! No end of instructions and youtube videos and I needed all of them.

    Why do car designers do that??? Used to be changing a bulb was a 10/15 min job on most cars , now its a major operation.. Wifes Corsa manual actually says..take it to a dealer, then explains how much you have to remove to get at the rear of the housings...not as if its a small engine compartment either, like the old minis...

    Apparently you have to carry a bulb kit by law abroad..what you supposed to do with it if you have a fault beats me.

    I think it was a Toyota Landcruiser that I read about, where replacing a rear light bulb was a major bodywork job involving removing the entire bumper!

    From my time in the industry talking to folk employed by car manufacturers and the servicing side. It's to get as many folk as possible paying to have work done on there car.

    They've been getting too reliable.

    Honda Jazz; right headlight bulb... remove right front wheel; then the inner wing / wheel arch cowling and you can access the headlight housing. What a palava. Glad it's only gone once in three years.
