Trig, what an awesome event you sort out in your parish, thanks mate, just great.
Thanks also to the guy who helped me to stand up again after golf ball cramped up calves in one of the last fields when I fell and couldn't move for cramped solid calves and agony. Seemed like I was lying down for quite a few minutes but these things happen, really appreciate your help mate, what fell running is all about, nice one thx.
Great day out and great turnout and some good beers and lots of our community enjoying post race supping I like ;-)

Thanks again (from all of us)

While we're congratulating...well done to today's winner Adam Osbourne - seen here making light work of the stair-way to heaven on the final ascent

Today was cracking. It was my first BL event and I'm generally speaking more of a flat 10k/HM road type of chap who has just popped up on this forum because flat 10k/HM types tend to be a bit more serious and humourless, but I really enjoyed everything about today's race. Trig, you couldn't have done anything better, perfect setting, weather, course, etc. The one thing I would change is my performance, which as far as I know you can't do anything about. Even though the race made me realise that beyond 13 miles is not great for me, I reckon I would submit myself to repeat Heptonstall events for all that comes with it. If you do print up some t-shirts, put a link in here because I'd love a memento that isn't just sore legs.

A great day - a superbly organised event - well marshalled, flagged, refreshments at the end, the Vicar's sermon, the friendly atmosphere - can't fault anything, apart from my own performance! - but was just glad to take part and get round.

    Thanks to everyone involved.

Cracking event Trig - no sightings of the bog shark reported. I enjoyed the river crossing in particular. Keep the bridge out for next year?

One of my favourite race this. Great day out, fantastically organised event again by the 'heptonstallers'. This was my first race since late August and as expected, I have now developed quite a severe case of John-Wayne-Walk-itis!
