Does anyone have Garmin stats they wouldn't mind sharing for mile splits for a 4.45ish finish please?

If you go to the three peaks website there are links to the results (on the sportident site). Here's the link for 2012 - http://results.sportident.co.uk/home...0-05a7e8049b02 If you find a finisher with a 4:45 time then click on the details link and you'll get the splits for the tops as well as Ribblehead and the Hill Inn.

Unless you know you pace yourself in the same way as another runner then mile splits might not be of much use.

It varies MG because some runners go quick early and then drop off and others start slower but maintain their pace.

    My first year 2008 I did 42 PYG, 1:46 Ribblehead for a 4:40 finish, then in 2009 I was 43 PYG, 1:47 RH and finished 4:45
I missed 2010 with a back problem and so I went in to 2011 lacking in confidence and started with a lower target.
    I ran 47 PYG and 1:55 RH but finished with a 4:43.
I would consider that my best run even if not a PB as I finished with a little in hand. That's the way I hope to run this year after a bad race last year where I just made the Hill Inn cut-off and finished in over 5 hours.

So my advise would be to just steady up and down PYG, chug along to RH and aim to be something like 47 up PYG and 1:55 - 2:00 at RH and I think you will be on the money for a 4:45.

Haven't entered the race (doing Fellsman) but planning a steady run round the 3 peaks this weekend and anticipating melting snow/ice

Anyone know what the conditions are like atm?

On Monday the defining characteristic was a brutal wind on the tops.

Cheers WP I will keep your times in mind as that's exactly where I want to be.
I did 5.09 in 2008... 46 PYG and 2.00 Ribblehead....took me an age on the Whernside stretch which cost me with only about 3 mins to spare at Hill Inn where I stood around for 10 mins deciding whether or not to carry on! ha.
2011 I got exactly the same times but had to pack in at Ribblehead due to migraine symptoms. Confidence is low due to that but I really should get well under 5 hours this time hopefully.
