Very funny Harry... it's a hotbed of Strava competition round here running, road cycling and MTB... impossible to go out for an easy run or ride these days.

I had to force myself to run a slightly different route last night as a recovery run so that I wasn't chasing segments. It does change your mindset when you know a segment is coming up. It gets harder to run at a steady tempo, it is so tempting to speed up to go for a fast segment time.

That is a lot of my problem (and probably a lot of other people as well) I just plonk away at a steady pace, which will never get me any faster. Just not enough fell runners in my area. I have created two great hill climb segments. On one there are 4 with posted times and on the other I am on my own. So a case of trying to beat my own times.

You're not too far from Chinley DPB, head on over for a run on Chinley Churn, it's riddled with segments.. many created by me

I'm not liking it either. Is it just me or have they scaled down the basic functionality of the performance chart? Such as there is no scale for pace or HR, just elevation. (i'm an engineer and can't abide a graph that doesn't have the scale and units on display! )

I'm guessing if you pay for subscription then you get more of the old useful info

I guess that is the idea, I liked the display that showed the height gain/loss on each mile/Km split.

The subscription is pretty expensive I would not be keen enough to justify that.

I keep getting lots of glitches like that. I've got so used to software working 100% right that it is a bit of a frustration nowadays when something like Strava doesn't always work.

But the important thing is that you are a Queen of the Mountain. Good result!

I got Strava on my phone, both run and cycle about a month ago. After signing up to the website all my activities got synced automatically, great. However, since Sundays Kinder Downfall nothing is uploading, and apart from refreshing the Feed screen there doesn't seem to be a manual function for this. Anyone any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
