    this weekend I've managed :
Bristol Beer Factory: Southville Hop. brilliant. zingy fresh citrus.
    Budvar Dark Lager
    Pilsner Urquell

    homebrew: wheat, dark and bitter

not sure it's all helping the 3ps training!

Haystacks 3.7%. A "Refreshing ale for fell wanderers". The Old Alfer can vouch for its post-running/wandering recuperative powers

Ah the Vic...! A couple in there usually followed by jumping over the fence on to the station platform for the train in to town and a visit to the Brewery Tap and and Ye Olde Trip before the last train home. If we make it out of the Vic in the first place...

Few bottles of Thwaites' Wainwright tonight...

Had a wander down the lovely esk valley yesterday, some of the finest ale houses in the land en route down the valley  starting off at The board inn, Lealholm (great cheese board too! ) - Arncliffe arms, Glaisdale - Horseshoe Hotel, Egton Bridge and finishing at The station at Grosmont. I forget what I was supping now but every pint in each pub was in superb condition. Erimus from the truefitt brewery was particularly great at fabulous Horshoe Hotel

A great day out for lovers of ale and countryside, probably about 2/3mile max inbetween pubs, delightful riverside walking/running/drinking in any combination 10/10

Crikey Rev, you know how to do it ! Carlsberg don't do pub crawls, but if they did they'd be ringing you for advice ! I love The Horseshoe. Happy memories from 20 years ago taking my good lady away.

Anyway, back to beer. A truly outstanding, hand pulled, Hawkshead Drystone Stout in The Crescent after The 3 P's on Saturday. Drowned my sorrows over being slower than last year & going over 4 hours.

3 jars of Hawkshead-Windermere pale ale, possibly the greatest session beer going
