Great race as ever, good weather and nice underfoot too.

Added to the fact that I learnt some new route choices and somehow managed to run like someone had put EPO in my coffee, it was a pretty good day.

Excellent outing: good to meet up with both of you (sbrt & Johnnyb1). Hardly wet anywhere, apart from the little soggy meadow. A pleasant little scamper: I enjoyed the views. Fell races are always good for me psychologically: because I'm slow uphill I spend the 2nd half of the race passing people. Always feels good, especially when I'm knackered. And I didn't fall over once - maybe I wasn't trying hard enough.

Apologies to Splatcher and Johnny. You were both too fast for me to get a picture

Johnny was: don't put me in the same bracket as him, Steve. He was 12th overall - faster than a speeding train!

    Thanks Athers.
Out and back races, are the only time I ever get near enough, to get photos of the fast runners (most are fast compared to me).

Some much better framed pics by Al Tye here http://www.fellrunningpictures.co.uk/rasygader2013.html Check out the jumping for joy? album:thumbup:

Anyone know if a waterproofed colour copy of the race map on the RO website is sufficient to pass kit check or is an OS/Harvey map required?

Oh & I no longer need a lift

Yeah that should be fine.. they never check the map anyway... well what the actual map is, I've done plenty of races with any old map thrown in..

The route is flagged and a big field.. its a mountain race more than a fell race, some slight route choice but you can always just stay on the major highway.. great race.
