Thanks Steve. Yes indeed, a great day out with the best support I could have ever imagined and the kindest weather too. We set off at 11pm on the Friday on a 21.15 schedule and made steady gains on every leg - the most being made on leg 4. In a few days time I will have written up my report and will come back here with the link to it.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your successful round bestathlete. If it's half as good as this blog post then it'll be blooming great

Thumbs up Re: BGR June 2013

Well done Best athlete, we meet briefly on leg 1 you didn’t want to hang around as you were trying to crack it in 3 hours, I was impressed at that point and looking at your sub 20 hour time I had good reason to be.

    Well done again.

Right for the enjoyment of all Bob Graham armchair viewers I'll be carrying a GPS tracker on my round. The link is http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2013.cfm?n=4 and I'll be setting off from Moot Hall 6pm Friday 14th June. I'm sure old un will be posting the odd update on here too

Good luck, Bill. I'm looking forward to seeing you tearing it down Scafell on Saturday morning and going the rest of the way with you.

Cheers Nigel I'm just itching to get started now. The weather certainly looks better for Saturday, should be a nice run into Keswick. That sounds like good advice Slacky. Good luck and see you at Moot Hall

Good luck Bill, remember that fate favours the well-prepared ... you'll nail it mate!

I'm on leg 4 support duties for an attempt that leaves later than you, we're going over to Wasdale via the Moses Trod so there's a chance I might see you @ Beck Head

    Crossing my fingers for sunshine!
