Just been helping flag course for tomorrow, there's some cows and calves with a frisky bull in the final field so save a bit for your sprint there !

The farmer says he's going to corral them into another field for the race tomorrow. But it'll be the sweeper lurchers to watch out for instead..

Read your blog :-) and a quick explanation of the detour is required as I am responsible. You may have noticed a couple of folk cheering you on at that point with a rucksac full of flags we were out flagging the junior routes for the Sat morning and had placed the flag at the style with the number 4 on the style as that is where the number 4 marshall needs to stand on the junior race. It never occurred to us that despite the trail of seniors heading of down the moor on the right side f the fence anyone would jump over the style. Given that the group you were with contained a CVFR runner (Hello Tussockface) who has done the race many times without ever feeling the need to take the wrong route.
We realised straight away and shouted you back and then waited to to make sure no other runners did the same. It is the first time we have tried flagging the junior routes on the Fri evening as normally I get up at about 6am and do them on the Sat. So lesson learned for next year.

    All flagged.

    Prizes donated by Timothy Taylors.
Records 27:02 (James Logue) and 31:58 (Jo Buckley). Only one other woman (AnneJ) has got anywhere near Jo's time.
Super finale to the 3days, thanks Bill and all the marshals, will definitely be back next year! I lost a black gps logger somewhere en route, it looks like a big pen drive. If anyone found it I would love to have it back! Cheers.
