Midsummer Madness

It never occurred to us that despite the trail of seniors heading of down the moor on the right side f the fence anyone would jump over the style. Given that the group you were with contained a CVFR runner (Hello Tussockface) who has done the race many times without ever feeling the need to take the wrong route.

a) How do you know how often I've felt the need to take the wrong route? Needs and feelings are hidden deeply inside a man and not always open to inspection by others.
b) Je ne regrette rien!

...but I actually don't think it made much difference which side of the fence we were on. We weren't exactly lost!
And at least now I can put a face to Captain Shuffle, and will say hello next time we meet. (I'm the one immediately behind you in the photo, BTW).

Another fantastic Madness weekend. Many thanks to Bill, family and helpers.

The photographic mementos were a nice touch, even though in my case it looks as if I'm trying to escape from an institution for the subnormal and the carers are close on my heels.
The say the camera never lies; I sincerely hope they're wrong.

Can only agree with all that's been said--- fantastic weekend of fell running never thought I would've been able to do this again and so pleased to have been able to---- enough said ---beer now after not having one all weekend!!
