    * Kirk Fell I reckon
    I'm sorry, but that cover photo is a fake... Ian Charters exists only in a black and white world - there's way too much colour! :thumbup:

    Somehow I've resisted opening it, & intend taking it to work for break-time perusal

    It's an excellent photo, brilliant in fact. I have no doubt in my mind that in order for Pauline's photography to have become so good, she must be doping It's the only explanation for such excellent performance....

    If you want that sort of thing, it's well worth checking out the blog of someone called Terry B N D. He seems to spend more time out on the fells than at home. Not a fell runner, but some amazing images.

    Thanks for the comments so far on the Navigation article. I've had a two clubs asked if they can copy it to their website so I've put a copy on my website. Link below.
    I was conscious how much space I was using as I didn't want to take up 6 pages etc so I'll expand it over next few weeks.

    The second piece will be added on after the Autumn fell runner has come out.

    Re: Fellrunner Magazine

    The arrival of this one has prompted me to get back to reading the previous one. Just read about marshalling at last year's Lakeland 100 (very timely and entertaining) and past 3 Peaks Fell Races with Sarah Rowell et al. Come Christmas time I might get started on this one. Don't anyone go giving the game away in the interim. :wink:

    Hmmm. Usually read this on the train, but am currently driving to work :thunbdown:

    Maternity leave starts soon - this is top of the pile of relaxing things to do while I wait. :thumbup:

    It's a great article Ian - there should be more practical stuff like that in The Fellrunner.
