Can I still calim for July (I've been away and Internet-free)? Rydal Round: Winner 86:14, me 125:58 equalls 54 pts.
Sadly that's probably my last race since I'm now living down south (there aren't any fells in the Vale of Aylesbury) and, Lord willing, back to Gabon later in the year.

Latege - all may not be lost!

I'm in Tring, on the edge of the Vale of Aylesbury, and it's certainly a challenge to get scores on the board. All of my scores above are for proper Lakes/Pennines/Peaks fell races but I am holding out hope for the Chiltern Marathon as a local race that could count. It's an LDWA event so it's in with a chance. The route changes each year but last year it took you up and down the Chiltern ridge to give 3,900 feet of climb in 23 miles. If it's got a similar profile this year then I think that would be fair enough. And if we back each other up with tales of relentless ascent then they'll have to let us have it! 8 September.

Hmm, interesting but unfortunately Sundays don't work well for me - the only reason for being in Aylesbury is to spend time with my home church before going back overseas so skipping Sundays isn't a great idea. I'll still keep it in mind though.

    Re: Forum Champs

    Afternoon, Daz.
The dreaded lurgy has done for me, so didn't make it to the Turner Landscape yesterday & didn't help me last weekend either at the Hellifield Gala! Young Wharfedale star James Hall tried his best to break Alistair Brownlee's record of 23.02, but just came up short. Still too b***** fast for me, as my time of 33.24 was nearly 10 minutes behind his winning time of 23.43! A feeble 59 points won't have changed my overall standing one iota.
That's it for this month, unless I find some trail race near La Rochelle.....! See you in September at Lantern Pike?
