Missed out on my goal of top half, but I'll get there next year. Maybe a championship point the year after?

    Great. Thanks for sharing both!

Was it my failing eyesight or did it seem that a good few of the later runners descended straight off White Pike thereby missing the final checkpoint?

I thought that, but then decided it were probably the marshal's coming off the hill.

Surpinginsly I am still waiting or is it just another anonymous keyboard warrior statement.

Either back your statement via contact to the R/O and remove your post, or find another sport to darken with broad sweeping and in my case inaccurate statements.

I understand some people made this mistake last year, but on discovering their error, did the stretch along the wall twice to be counted at the final check point. Did they check the numbers at the final check point this year? I did not notice them doing so, but by then I was concentrating on staying upright.

Well done Spike - what a cracking race.
And a grand total of £2359 raised for Alzheimer's Research to boot!
Many thanks to all the marshals, helpers, providers of cakes and refreshments etc and to Anthony and Hillary at Turner Hall Farm.
