God Bless America - All the victims are easy to dislike so you empathise with the two main characters in this film. At the end after you have enjoyed the film and a couple of clues have been thrown in along the way you find yourself wondering if you are part of the population that this black comedy film is satirising?

    'Planes'

    Rubbish.

Just an amalgamation of Cars 1 and 2, but with Planes. A long tedious advert for their merchandise. Next up Boats probably.

Anyone seen either Hunger or Shame? Both from highly acclaimed uk director Steve Mcqueen (not that one). Heard really good things about both.

Watchmen - Directors Cut. 3 hours of art and action with Zack Snyder in the directors chair (not seen Man of Steel so can't comment on his recent stuff) The directors cut puts back in 20 mins of material including a whole deleted scene concerning the murder of Hollis Mason (Nite Owl 1). Rorschach gets more lines and we see more of him without the mask. It will be interesting to see Zack Snyder's take on Batman in the planned Superman vs Batman film.
    Love this film

Mission Impossible2, first time I've seen this.

Bad, on an epic scale. Possibly the worst successful film I've ever seen. Utter tripe from start to finish.

This worthless turd of a film didn't deserve a public audience. It deserved playing on a Film making courses as an example of how to not make a film. An insult to my eyes and ears.

Saw Hunger an age ago, an increasingly incredibly thin Michael Fassbender as Bobby Sands, a great film as far as I can recall, although Mrs DTR wasn't as impressed, definitely worth a look.

    Haha, I like it

Moving on, I saw World's End the other night which, amongst other things, is an absolutely brilliant social commenty on the branding, blanding and 'starbucksing' of small town Britain. Oh and its really funny too! And it has great fight scenes

I see they have made a film of that excellent novel by Michael Faber 'Under the Skin' starring Scarlett Johansson. I read it about 12 years ago and I thought it would make a good film at the time. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of job they do with it. Put me off hitch hiking at the time I seem to recall
