I can't remember the details but I think Otto had an altercation with some sheep in the dark and pulled Jon over and Jon hurt his knee so had to pull out. That was the vague news...now someone else can fill in the details.

That's right Hes, Jon hurt his back, knee and quad, made it to Blencathra centre but could go no further, both alive and well and currently on holiday in the French alps, lucky sods

I've just uploaded my L100 report, with photos. The link to all the photos is in there as well. Contrary to what I said to others during the low points, as soon as I'd finished I knew I wanted to return next year. It's a shame I'll be away when entries open. By the time I return from Chamonix I bet it'll be filled.

Brilliant report, loved the recovery story , thanks for the time spent writing it - it might help fuel a new trend in ham sandwiches as fell running fodder.
Joking aside - was it just hydration that got you back - you dont say much about it after that sandwich!

Hi ai. It was the right hydration (mostly water and not too much of it) with just enough food to keep me ticking over. It became mostly checkpoint food (the odd sandwich, cake, biscuits, stew!) and not much of my own food (energy bar, few gels, mini pork pie).

the most traumatic moment of the whole race was when I found out there had been pork pies at Braithwaite and I'd failed to notice them :w00t:
