Let’s be honest though, there is no way Bacon-Faces book could ever be a truthful or fully accurate account. He couldn’t tell the full story about the racehorse business, and he couldn’t discuss the true reason why such an average side achieved so much. That would entail writing about the bullying tactics, the intimidation of referees and assistants, the grooming of the same through gifts and texts, of using his Sir status to benefit that shower of a club, and the capitulation of the FA towards him particularly with discipline issues, etc, etc.
yet we had our player banned for 8 months for the same offence our guy got a fine,... yet the fa were scared of him.. we werent average and there was no 'side'... 22 years domination..

If you don't believe me, wait and see. All this public laundry-washing has far from finished. Already, Keane has bitten back and hopefully a few more will too. It all adds to the feeling of impending doom.

Bacon Face has weakened his credibility, substantially, with his laughable claim about dominating the 1 - 6 derby and his complete avoidance of the Coolmore stand off in the book is typical of him and his bully-boy tactics. He's completely avoided picking on the bigger boys, like Magnier and J. P." McManus, whilst savaging the smaller fry, of course. That won't go unnoticed and there'll be plenty in the long grass, waiting to knock the Govan Piss Can off his bloody perch.

Believe me this book along with the Sergio Aguero goal that won us the league will come to be regarded as significant milestones in the fall of that horrible empire. I'm sure of it.

    Tick Tock

Danny boy you and the scousers have been saying its the end of the era since 1996 when we sold Ince, Hughes and Kanchelskis.. do you mind if I just ignore your constant insightful predictions of doom..

No it won't because the season after we won the league by a record points margin and your manager was sacked.. Fergie won.. and that grates you.

I'm just saying It as it is Iain. The dismantling of the Rag Empire is clear for all to see since Gollum took over. You have lost most of their air of invincibility that you once had and the fact that the Govan Piss Can slags off some of the club's' icons in his book further undermines the debt-ridden shambles of a club from the inside.

I've heard it from a lot of Rags that once Gill left, the GPC knew that his successor Woodward would keep tight purse strings and therefore retired/ran off to pre-empt further humiliations

In my mind we are definitely seeing the start of decline of empire (especially as I'm old enough to be struck by the parallels with the post Busby years.)

Bye, bye Bacon.. you were a vain , arrogant pathetic schoolyard bully and serial fantasist ( the revisionist account of the 1-6 makes him look even more feeble... )

The rags have lost their mojo and the best thing is that I'm hearing it from rag fans too.

    Tick Tock.

No you aren't.. so Fergie left and we have no money yet just spent 30 million on a player.. so we had 30 million at least to invest in a team which won the league at a canter...

You really do spout nonsense.. at least try and formulate arguments I can't piss on within 10 seconds of turning on my computer..

It's this sort of stuff the forums been missing lately. I'm my terribly ill judged opinion.

Let's wait and see Iain. Interesting times as the Chinese would say.

Its like throwing a dice and saying it'll be a six... then after 10 throws you get a six and say 'yes! I was right'..

I predict that in the future, you two will still be arguing about minor nuances around historical football matches.

OK, here's a real prediction. I predict neither side will win the league this year. Where's Biara, the gooner (if I remember rightly), when we need him.
