Looking forward to this race next week.
Enjoyed it last year and vowed to return.

Should be a healthy Pennine contingent there, looking forward to my first crack at this, heard a lot and expecting it to live up to all of it!

It's a lakeland classic in miniature. And the pies afterwards are among the best on the calendar. Looking forward to it.

Copied and pasted from Black Combe Runners website:

PARKING: There will be NO parking allowed in the farmyard or the side turn up the hill at all this year. Parking will be allowed in the field car park. The residents ask that a £1 donation be given to the Hospice for parking in the field.Highlight this year are two portaloos from Border Loos in the car park.

Pete Bland van will also be in the car park this year so there will be space for only a couple of other cars – please leave this space for Kitchen helpers and timers and marshals only – thanks !

The hall will be open at 9am on the day. There is NO road closure at Greenodd – it is planned for the following weekend now.

Hopefully this means avoiding the traffic snarl up of last year! There's going to be a lot of weather on the day by the looks of it.

What a great race! Mainly sunshine, a bit of hail, the sleet held off until all had finished. Thanks to the RO/marshals, and particularly to those who pushed my car out of the field. It must have been a right mess later on.

A great race - rain, sunshine, hail, beat my best time by half a minute, but beaten by my son in his first fell race!
