    There was a good piece in our local (Altrincham) paper headed "Rolling back the years!"
    About Erno (Jeff Norman) who won the race in 1979 and was 101st this year and second over 60.

    That's an interesting stat , cheers for that, I thought Kenny's record had never been threatened . What date did the summit route change, incidentally ?

    Yes 5 times and he still holds the record of 2.28.02 set in 1985!

    Aye 1.02.58 was the precise time, so only 29 seconds down. Not sure when route changed - sure someone around here will know. Just show's how easily forgotten someone who is only second best can be eyhh??
