    Re: Trunce

Not quite sure how I did it, but knocked another minute off my best last night, so 33:57, 32:59 and now 31:58 in my first three runs.

I suppose it helped having a pal run with me (well run off in front of me) and gave me someone to chase.

It was strange though, that in the previous two races I near on sprinted down the final hill, but last night I had nothing left to do that, but I still took a minute off my time?? Must have gone for it through the early part of the race?

Need to work out what training is required to recover quicker from the hills to be able to get back running again on the flat bits.

You might find that the August races are always a bit faster for the midpack runner as the entry on these races is lower due to hols so the hold ups are less at the stiles.

either way well done it all counts

    Re: Trunce

Managed to knock about 1:20 off my round 7 time, so the foot (& knee) must be improving!?

Now, I've just got to resume starting further forward (& having confidence again?),and not hang about near the back at the start, thinking I'll be getting in other runners way, with my hobbling along

We had 2 (Club) newcomers to the race, one of them managed a 'sub 32', so well done David Hughes!! (can't see the other in the results; Mark Mills)

As usual, a big "Thankyou" to Andy & team for organising, registration, starting & all the business at the finish-line :thumbup:

An excellent collection, as usual Richard.

Once more, a huge "Thankyou" to Andy & crew for making it all possible for us

We had a newcomer, who hated every minute of it, when he'd just crossed the line, but was asking when the next one was by the time he'd got his breath back!!!

    Possible stupid question.

How do I get a Trunce number? (Can't seem to find a link to "register" on the web site).

Apologies in advance if I'm missing something obvious...

    What a cracking race!! Again

    - A nice temperature
    - The rain held off
    - The woods weren't too slippery, to cause the newcomers any problems (as far I know)
    - The Don wasn't too deep to slow progress much (@ crossing 2)
    - I managed to beat all of my club-mates, who came down to run

And, a record field (so it seems??), with 322 finishers

A big "Thankyou" to Andy & his valiant team for allowing us all the pleasure(!?!) of running whilst getting wet & muddy!!!
