You know Wooj, that sounds like my missus Helen. I wouldn't feel too bad about it, she finishes in front of me all the time!

Hope she's okay, the fall did look pretty bad. You guys had fluorescent green on I think. I was in an orange windtop. You both went past me going through the fields just before Menston. I was going through a mental battle at that point. When I recovered I just didn't have the juice to speed up 😞. I was impressed with some of the strong female runners. Got passed by a few going up the chevin. I was slipping about like Bambi on ice! Looking forward to next year already.

Hello chaps and chapesses

I've sadly missed out on getting an entry for this.

If any one can't do it, and it's allowed to Transfer, I'd be grateful of paying for your entry. Or maybe 2 places!

I did it two years ago so hoping that the (lack of!) navigation may still be partly lurking in my brain and can help me try and improve on 11th place this time.

TC, I guessing you've probably already thought of it but I suppose no harm in mentioning it; might be worth emailing the organiser and letting him know you'd appreciate a spot if there are any withdrawals. A few good sort in the past have been kind enough to do so for this event when they've had to pull out.

Oh and no, I don't think there's been any change, route description looks the same to me. Good luck!

That's good advice. Also, at the Hebden a couple of week's back there was a large amount of no-shows and I ran with a couple of guys who'd just turned up, banking on this happening .... admittedly the weather overnight had been terrible and I suppose the snow stopped people getting there.

Of course, you couldn't guarantee a place, but if you're desperate and it's not too far to travel, well, it might be worth the risk?

Almost certain the route hasn't changed.
