Once over Ward's Stone, continue your route along the fence line and over Wolfhole Crag then L down another fence line to cross the Hornby Road / Salter Fell Track at "The County Gate" and up to the summit of White Hill. Off White Hill cross the high point of the road at Cross o' Greet and up to Great Harlow then L down the fence line and over Burn Moor. Swing another L across Loftshaw Moss (Bowlands best bog!!) and hit the Cross o' Greet road by the Great Stone of Four Stones. It's only about a mile on the road down to Bentham station.
It used to be the "run home" for a prominent, fell-running prof at LUniversity when he lived in the environs of Bentham.
