Could anyone please tell me if it's ok to stay overnight in a camper on the national trust car parks at NDG and ODG.....cheers.

I've had to pull out with knackered calves - very frustrating, not least for my partner. Hope everyone has a great day and that the weather is kind

Darren, I think you will be ok staying the night. In the morning you can move your van to the race headquarters field next door, they used to charge £1 in the past. I took up NT membership for the parking alone! Yiannis

I always tend to stay at NDG/Stickle Barn car park. There are signs saying no overnight camping but during the summer months there are always a few campervans and people staying in their cars. i have never been challenged even when the NT warden drives in at about 8 in the morning. Another venue I have stayed is the road behind Rothay Park i Ambleside. Again there are usually a few camper vans parked there.

    SO looking forward to this
Manhar & I both went well at Lakes Mountain 42, so hopeful of beating the cut-offs (which are a bit more relaxed this year anyway)
weather should be a tad better than LM42 as well

So they are. I'd have entered again if I'd known! Last time it was a struggle to make both cut-offs (got to Cockley Beck without about 10 minutes left I think), then got to the finish with an hour to spare despite having to stop for 10 minutes.

    Next year perhaps

Let's hope so mate....LM42 looked a bit of an epic!

Thanks for coming up last week...a grand day out and well worthwhile.

Good luck for the weekend.... I'll be looking for the reports.
