Nice cafe for drinks and grub for afters at the NT visitor centre, Keep an eye on the PR website for more details,
Good to see NT getting more and more involved in parkrun what with Fountains & Lyme Park starting shortly plus rumours of a future parkrun at Nostell Priory (between Wakey & Donny).

Also good to see some more 'traily' parkruns starting - Oakwell Hall Country Park looks a good un....https://www.facebook.com/oakwellhallparkrun

A record 407 runners at South Mancs (Platt Fields) today, and some fast times.
Being unfit since autumn, but 'on the come-back trail', my finishing position unfortunately got relegated from 2 to 3 digits. Must do better.

How were the puddles? Did you need a snorkel?

Thankfully, given the past 2 weeks of drying-out there was no 'puddlemania'.
The biggest puddle-contenders (at the 800m mark and at the 3k mark) could be skipped around / over, for once.

I ran Lyme Park Parkrun for the first time last Saturday - challenging, enjoyable, more like a trail/fell race with long uphill start and more ups and downs to follow. Time is more than 2 minutes slower than Woodbank.

I notice some more Junior Parkruns are springing into life north of Watford, closely behind the successful Leeds Roundhay.
These are all separate Sunday (not Saturday) morning 2k timed-runs for 4 to 14 year olds.
    - Falkirk Helix (this Easter weekend?)
    - Marple Bridge (from 11th May)
    - Huddersfield Greenhead (from 18th May)
That should help to destroy a few Sunday adult lie-ins.
Details here (if not yet then eventually): http://www.parkrun.org.uk/events/juniorevents/
