3.5 miles 30 mins steady run with the dog this morning to dust off the cobwebs not been out since Sunday.
Avoiding nettles, splashing around in the mud we both had a laugh.

4.2 miles 450ft 40 minutes steady run with my dog. Glorious sunshine, nice mix of trails, road and grass verge. Followed up with a foam roll and stretch. Now chugging a 1100 kcal banana smoothie. Beaut.

    Su: Can't remember...
M: Run to work & back (2.5 miles, 30 mins on train, 1.5 miles; reverse on way home) at steady pace as pack fairly full.
    T: Same as Monday.
W: Bike to work (including train journey).
Th: Short warm up run followed by road hill reps.
F: Work run again. Sore legs so maybe a banana smoothie could be in order (power of suggestion there!)

    S: Maybe a 10k at steady pace.
    Su: Edale fell race.

Could do with some speed work really but knee is feeling a bit tweaky. Maybe a foam roll tonight [shudder].

A wonderful 17 miles today with 3,500 ft of tough going High Peak terrain.
Starting at Fairholmes, to Howshaw Tor, Berristers, High Stones, Slippery Stones, Grinah Stones, Westend, Birchinlee Pasture, Finish.
    Brutal.
Very scenic route, some of the best views and cloughs in the Peak District. form.jpg

    Just getting back into it..

Ran 3 ultras in 5 weeks so took a very easy week and played a 7's rugby tournament and now getting back into it.

Just did a lovely 31 mile loop over 2 days, 9000ft ascent in the white mountains of NH, stunning area, a huge horseshoe with 8 or so peaks above 4000ft, spent the night in a shelter at 4000ft, bears were an issue but saw none, just lots of prints, but was careful to put all my food in the bear box at the shelter.

These are black bears, they can be dangerous but rarely, at times I'd get a tad spooked, but mainly just want to see one. They've only killed about 70 people in recorded history, so generally not much of an issue.. the main thing is food at night.
