unfortunately I'm not, I usually jog to start as it's just over a mile from my house.
I'm Guiding/teaching in the peak for 3 days then heading to Snowdonia for 5 days of DofE training/assessing.

Nice race but managed to get lost, along with about half a dozen other runners (all local or thereabouts judging by Penistone & Barnsley vests). Not what I expected on a short race, hopefully not a sign of things to come at Kentmere! Managed to have a laugh about it & jogged across the finish with a Rotherham runner. Kept my better half entertained who told me a should take a second look at the course map before heading out (ahem...)

did you miss the left turning on the descent. it often over grown and I've know people miss it before

Images from today's race. Enjoy. Hopefully at the Trunce tomorrow. Would appreciate the odd coin or two in the Malaria No More tin. Cheers.

I think some tape might've gone missing - there were a lot of runners at the finish talking about how they'd gone off course. Yes, we definitely veered right as we ended up just below Broomhead Farm on a road covered in Tour graffiti, before turning into the sheepdog trial fields & negotiating our way over a barbed wire fence. The runner who kindly stuck with me had done it a few times before & said the course had changed. We made up a half dozen of those who went most off course but it sounded like there were a fair few other folk who had gone a bit off course too. Good day out though & a timely reminder not to shy away from map reading at longer races.

Think most went wrong after descending onto track but then not going into the wood but following the track right to come out on Strines Rd Ewden Bottom. Fortunately I knew the route

They usually have a marshal at the bottom by the track. I guess it's easy to run through but race map clearly shows you turn left before the river.
