A quick 40 miles on the bike to get the stiffness of last night's trail race out of them. Work work work now for the next 4 days solid. I find it very hard to go out for a run after a 13 hour shift but will try and fit one in Sunday night.

    Re: Today's Training

In anticipation of my weekend of mountain biking I had loaded up on cake and chocolate and only run once on Wednesday. May mate 'phoned me at 9.15am this morning and sounded like the feller from the Tunes advert : "I'm all bhunghed oop and sniffly n 've got a feevahh". So the weekend is off and I'm now pissed on real ale as my wife paints the lounge. Will make up for it tomorrow with a 40K bike ride on the downs as a first recce for my (soon to be) 40 @ 40 down South wimps 'Round'.

"And it's lend me ten pounds I'll buy you a drink...."

A pleasant run around the Goyt Valley with a group including Stagger.
13 miles in 3 hours or so. Even stopped for lunch at Errwood Reservoir.

    Re: Today's Training

Made up for it this afternoon with a 20+ mile mountain bike ride up on the Downs with 1800ft of climbing. The weather stayed good for the first couple of hours then the rain came in and the last descent was pretty wretched. Was impressed by the dog owners today - lots of well behaved animals and ni ankle nippers. Partridge everywhere; if they only knew what was coming in a few weeks. Curry, beer and Casino Royale on DVD tonight.

    Stop, don't wait too long
    Make up your mind."

Another 6 miles this afternoon on the moors.
I feel a chippy some time soon!
