It is always a joy to talk to you at a race, tell me again about Darwen Gala?

Jonathan is a great organiser of a classic race-Long As are what fellrunning is really all about- and marshals are always pleased to turn out for him for all he has done for fellrunning, including serving on the FRA Committee for 20+ years.

As for Denis Wood and myself on the top of Castley Knotts in the wind and the rain, it was pleasing that only one of the 268 runners had his number on his thigh (and so was unreadable) but even more pleasing that most of the field thanked the marshals as they passed.

Graham
