    Tough Tough Race

I ballsed up the line to three shires, went well up blisco and then fell on the summit and gashed my leg before running waaay too far right towards Blea Tarn. Was 30 mins slower than expected - a disastrous race really, but oddly enjoyable. Unfinished business!!!

ahh so the cool kids went to facebook and I knew nothing, sounds familiar

it was a great race. I was proud to have finished and not got too lost. I was passed by one group of runners three times! Clearly they ran faster than me but their nav was lacking...

I myself found a new contour round the right hand side of the ridge towards the three shires stone. It was horrible and should not be repeated!

Very much looking forward to this one, having been out of action for the past 6 weeks due to an ankle injury.
This will be my 26th consecutive 3 Shires.
    Here's some of my stats:
First race in 1988 taking 2h27m10s
Best time in 1996 taking 2h10m16s
No race in 2001 due to FMD
    Last year's time 2h55m02s
    This year's time ?????

I'm sure Selwyn has booked the sunshine as usual

Blimey Mark that's some going. You did well to get there a couple of years ago, loads of us didn't make it due to a smash on the M6.
I think the purple shorts have mystical powers....see you Saturday.

Was really looking forward to doing the race this year, I love this course but I have to be honest and say that my legs/feet haven't really recovered from the UTMB and I'm probably best giving it a miss, which is a bit depressing.

Good luck to everyone taking part, I will probably be at home wishing I was with you.
