Can I claim points for a trail race this month (at least it wasn't road, and it was pretty hilly for a trail race!)? It was the Nicky Nook "Race 2 Remember" that took place today.

looking at the map for Race 2 Remember it looks like it's about 170m ascent, which over 8km is juuuust about CatC in terms of hilliness, so may be allowable...
having said that, I've run the Goyt Valley Trail 10k in the past which has about the same hilliness (110ft/M), and I didn't claim it...
is anybody else familiar with the nature of this one? what do we think...?

To be honest it's probably not claimable, it is definitely a trail race, fully marked with a fair bit of road in it as well. So I think it's probably fairest for me to not get the points for it!Originally Posted by DazTheSlug

Ooo I did that one as I know the Bolland family. Thought it would be a piece of cake. But there were a couple of hills - especially the one at the end. They called it the sting and it really was. As feared, the pace of Rhys F-R at the 3 Shires meant no increase in September's tally. At least it was a lovely day out!
Looking like a busy October is planned & although hardly registering on the Fishwick Scale, will be at the Ian Hodgson relay this Sunday, followed by Withins, FRA Relays & Great Whernside on consecutive weekends. Will my 50-year old legs stand up to the pace?!

74 points for Curbar Commotion today please Daz. Did you make it out yourself? Cracking race, well organised and all important cake at the end. Next race fell race for me will be Wirksworth Undulator on Saturday week. First race of North Mids XC league on Saturday coming, likely to get pasted but it'll be good to be in spikes again.
