    Many thanks to all involved.
Yeah, cheers to Pete and the marshals it was cold on top. Found my racing legs for the way down, went into the bog up to my gonads twice. I'd forgotten how much fun it is to just let yourself go on the way down.

Well done Mr B, it really is a brilliant descent over the bogs. Thankfully I took a really good line this year after going too far left in previous years, it was wet but very runnable.
Went up Pendle yesterday and it was reasonably dry compared to today's lovely bogs.
    Half time, still 0-0.

Yeah i need to recce the bogs descent route some time, found myself leaping off peat hags into knee deep sludge today. some went very far left, but from what i remember from the relays 2011 there's just as many bogs but you just can't see them as well. I find speed to be your friend on the bogs, the faster you're travelling the more you can leap over.

One of my favourite fell races ( despite the bogs ! ) this race for me epitomises what fell racing is about. No frills, registration, parking and start and finish in a farmers field. A good well organised race with friendly like minded folk, a stream to wash in all for a miserly entry fee. Well done to Pete and his merry band of helpers, long may it continue.

( good to meet you today Wharfy ! )

Completely agree, a thoroughly enjoyable race! I'd forgotten how fast the descent is as well, especially after the bog. Think I strayed a bit too far left coming off the summit, though it seemed familiar to last year...

Great race, well organinsed and the weather was good to us too.
I too took a dip in the bog up to my thigh on the ascent, but didn't slow me down. Took my 'short cut' line off the top (which was a risk in the mist) and saved about 20 seconds.
Great descent ~ pleased to report my ankle stood up to it's former strength following it's injury a couple of months ago.
Good decision by RO Peejay for not allowing the 3 without kit to run. I heard that two of the lads were seen smoking fags on the way to the pub afterwards.............!?!?!

They thought about ducking the headcount too to avoid the no kit problem, slipping off into the counted bunch off the back. I told Peejay, as i was last through, but it looked like they changed their minds at the last minute and came through last thing. You feel like a grass ratting people out like that, but after Buttermere everyone has to look out for these sorts of infringements i think- it's in all of our best interests. My guess is that they simply won't have understood the potential seriousness of an incorrect headcount, 4 runners not accounted for at the back of the field is not an option.

Blame strava. 4th time me karl n ben have bagged the yorky team prize. So glad i declined the too runnable inter counties
