Technically Skyrunning, not fell running... But here's an account of the Glen Coe Skyline a couple of weekends ago: http://www.samharrison-ml.co.uk/blog...en-coe-skyline
Hi Sam great blog as usual. I had a similar experience to yourself apart from going too hard at the start to avoid the bottleneck. I met you on the out and back from bnb good to see the bowland vest on show.
A nice write up of Longshaw Sheepdog Trials, by my mate Fellmonkey http://fellmonkey.com/2015/09/07/lon...als-fell-race/
Here's my write up of Guisborough 3 Tops

Its been a disaster of a summer on the running front for me after having a "cardiac event" following a run around the 3 Peaks on 5th July. The cardiac event turned out not to be a heart attack (thank goodness) and I was diagnosed with pericarditis, a swelling of the sac that surrounds the heart. The recovery from pericarditis can be relatively swift but, in my case, it has dragged on and on. This in turn hasn't made running too easy which in turn has completely messed with my blogging (not necessarily a bad thing maybe). Also wary of jumping the gun and thinking I'm fully well again I've been purposely slow at updating and publicising the blog anyway. Hopefully I'm now on the mend though and, for sure, my running is getting a little better each week.
Anyway here's a quick snap shot of my summer running efforts - fortunately, although my running has been mostly slow jogging, the places I've been running in have of course continued to be stunning.
5th July, the 3 Peaks and my dicky ticker attack
1st August, a short 'recovery' run from Sedburgh
8th August, Moughton from Horton
16th August, Pen y Ghent done steep
29th August, Whernside
31st August, the 3 Peaks!!!!
6th September, the Settle Loop
12th September, Plover Hill, Pen y Ghent and Helwith Bridge loop
13th September, Ingleborough from Austwick
Hopefully I'm now on the mend. Unfortunately Hester now has a badly swollen knee which could be reactive arthritis so she's now ironically out of the running for a while. We're a right pair of grandma's according to my youngest daughter.....

Well after a pretty disastrous run around the 3 Peaks on Saturday I've come to the conclusion that my running abilities have fallen of a cliff!
