Sadly work will wipe out most of the summer races

Are you talking about the Ian Hodgson when you say the British Relays? It's just because I noticed the Langdale has been brought forward a week from its listing in the Handbook, and now sits the day before the Ian Hodgson. Now that's a shame, is it not?

Must speak to R. Bell, race organiser....

Thanks, theNoor. Didn't realise that Langdale had been changed (is that on the Ambleside site?) Not sure how the old body would cope with Langdale & Ian Hodgson on consecutive days. I just about managed Thieveley Pike & the relays last year, but Langdale's a bit different to Thieveley.

recovery from Achille tendon operation, Thursday 25.
I'd love to be running 100 miles per week in one year after the op, without Achille trouble.

By my reckoning, Langdale is now the same day as the Gt Whernside English / British Champs counter, and probably a worse clash than before!

Hi, my names theNoor, I'm a tyre-fitter from Nottingham, and I'm a complete divvy....

Yep, quite right, Whernside and Langdale DO clash! Gutted, as I love Langdale but want to do this English champ race.

Come on Ambleside you useless getts, what's gannin' on? Why not make it the 14th? Day after British Relays? Putting it on same days as Champs isn't going to help - or is that what they want? Perhaps to reduce numbers and environmental impact, traffic congestion etc.
