Certainly hope it's faster (and warmer!)
Last year I did PPP in 3:19, this year did Trigger in 3:43. Felt about the same at the start of both (fit, fairly fresh but not overly). 2 very different races though.
Just past 700 entered
I'm in again...I think. Found it tricky to find the requisite races!! Not done much long fell stuff recently having turned slighty towards the longer stuff...Hardmoors, Bullock Smithy etc. Did Dresden Marathon but not in the 3hr 20m required!!? Seems a bit fast to be the qualifying time at 3hr 20min. I'm not too quick at 3hr 45min but can still get round Three Peaks in a good bit under 5 hrs.
Just out of curiosity, also thinking ahead to next year, but what are the previous race requirements to enter this? I might have to knuckle down if I want to tick this classic.
Any of these mate;
- Completed the Three Peaks Race in 2013, 2014 or 2015.
- Since Jan 1st 2014 completed at least two different Medium A, Long A or Long B Fell Races. Note – only FRA definitions apply.
- Runners who do not fulfil either of these requirements but who have endurance running experience should submit details on their entry - listing endurance races completed 2014 and 2015 e.g. road marathon within 3hrs 20mins.O.M.M. Elite A,B,Class or equivalent.
Thanks Calvin. Having not done any of the above, it gives me a focus for some of this years training & racing.
