Thread: The Ben Race

    Re: The Ben Race

Glad everyone "enjoyed" it.. it was tough, the mind obviously forgets how bloody difficult this race is even though this was my fifth time!!

I ran 2.05 but was v disapointed as wanted to make under the 2hrs, ran 2.01 last year, but had a crap climb this year, I just had nothing in my legs.

I seen quite a few fallers on the way down and it was absolutely freezing at the summit, a guy was just behind me had his vest off!

My brother took a video clip at the bottom of the grass bank on my phone for 2mins odd so I will try and get it on to you tube and post a link on here.

Not looking forward to the first few steps in the morning!

Great to meet up with Marvin and NotVerMiniMarvin, plus Daz. Results of the pre-race sweepstake...!

Think Stuart must have been waiting at the finishing line!

Thanks Daleside! I hope your relay race went well today!

Yep - cheers Watto. Hope you found the detour round the A74 hold-up too. You know, I'm sure the drive's longer on the way back than on the way there

(Mind...I did have to detour to Ilkley to drop off sleepy-head-MB )

    "Thanks" MM!!!
(some judicial editing required, thank god it’s mostly blurred by the drizzle)

Well, that was a real toughie, seriously brutal.....
Having considerable difficulty walking without wincing....
Unpacking the van back at Kinder was a real trial, up & down steps not good!
Many thanks to those who made it happen, a very special event..
