Absolutely, stuff democracy. Look what happens when you let the little people have their say.

They used to use this argument in the 19th century as the reason for not extending the franchise.

The trouble is, as Asimov said:

"The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

And who is an expert on Brexit? - exactly nobody.
