New season.
Let's hope the top 3 and bottom 3 of the premier league remain unchanged.
Brilliant outcome 👍

Never rated Lampard 🙄
As a player he was very good but always behind Gerrard.
He got more plaudits for being a southerner.
Similar as a manager, just below average.
Better than that bucket man but not for the Premier League mayby yet

A bit harsh to run him down after one match. If Chelsea had won 4-0 everyone would be chastising Solsjaer.
But yes, didn’t Chelsea come 3rd and win the UEFA Cup, then get rid of their manager... they deserve everything they get....
Ps I think Lampard was way better then Gerrard...
Very interesting result in a big early fixture. 2-0 either way and the losing boss would have been under pressure
I always thought Gerrard was a better player (well, more influential on his team)
Lampard was on a hiding to nothing.
He's got two strikers that don't really cut it at the top level. Giroud did to be fair, but his lack of games in the last two years has probably not helped.
Souness said before the game that he didn't know where the goals were going to come from for Chelsea this year.
Add to that Kante, Willian, Rudiger, Loftus-Cheek unavailable to start and Hazard gone, whilst on paper it looks a tough test for United, it's probably the easiest Chelsea team to play in over a decade.
I think he has the right mentality and background to make a good manager.
I also thought Gerard was over rated. Putting Gerard and Lampard on a pedestal and giving them the central midfield spot over Scholes cost England.
Meanwhile, great opening win for Burnley. Much needed as we have a tough next few with Arsenal and Wolves away now, then Liverpool back at Turf at the end of August.
I'd settle for a couple of points out of those 3.

I'll get a chance to see Lampards team in person, just got tickets for Burnley v Chelsea in October. After years of being a miserable old bastard slagging off the Premier League I've started enjoying live football again.
We took in two Burnley matches last season, one at Celtic and England v Croatia. Got Newcastle v Man City pencilled in and Burnley v Man United
