I know, I was just citing that as mostly the "pundits" on TV and radio claiming we haven't gone far enough and should be firmer in mandating closure of non-essential work are the ones who peddled that bollocks
I just didn't clearly express myself well enough.
Interesting that the Chancellor indicated they may have to look at the self-employed tax system following the support being given.
Yet no talk in the media about those many Public Sector staff who are still in receipt of full pay, including my daughter.
Just a few rough sums.
Someone sent home from the Local Authority on £25k will still be on £25k equivalent.
Someone sent home from a local factory on £25k will be on £20K equivalent and possibly the employer will top that up.
Someone self-employed stopped from working.....?
and after this is done, when we have to recoup through tax, are those taxes going to be levied on those that have received most support?
Whilst I am 90% supportive of what they have done, I think the way they have set up the financial support package is less than satisfactory.
