The distance is 9 miles, which equates to an average of 489 ft ascent per mile, or just short of 1000ft per uphill mile.

Sounds a toughie, I thought it would of been a bit further than the Snowdon distance. Very tempted by this only issue is its at the busiest time for me workwise straight after the summer holidays!

Hey, don't worry Harry, your lad can have my entry.

I'll have retired a couple o'years by then and will have got my plaque so'll not be too stressed about it.

Mind, he has to run sub-1:30 * if he's gonna be running as me. How's his training going? Hill reps 6 x 3mins + 2 mins jog down recovery (+ Bofra's of course) works for me.
