you see the data I'm quoting is based on the actual reality we have gone through and forecasts going forward based on the reality we have faced and will face.
Everything else is an estimate, a judgement, an opinion.

But you assert some of these opinions as facts, cut and dry because you are "looking for things which appear to confirm your predudices"

It's easy to have a go at someone rather than admit you're wrong, isn't it? Because you have been wrong, even if you don't agree with any of my opinions.

I will revert to my previous policy of not responding to any more of your comments Dave. I don't want to be sucked in to the same relentless ding-dong as Oracle. I also don't want to be seen to be taking up too many column inches on here.

For what it's worth, I think much of the analysis is questionable, even the analysis that might support my opinion. I just found it interesting that there is information in the report that they have spent a lot of time and effort analysing, presenting to dismiss as you seem to believe they have done.

It is an opinion or belief, it's not a fact. The lockdown did happen so we will never know what the outcome would have been if we'd not had it.

WP said "and many believe that without lockdown the outcome would not be as SAGE and Ferguson thought." What's controversial about that? Ferguson after all has a lousy track record in predicting the outcome of pandemics.

Not had a drop since returning from holiday.

I don't need ale to be daft, it comes naturally.

Its not going away and there will never be a vaccine.

So it's inevitable we will all catch it.

Me personally would prefer it while I'm younger and have an increased chance to fight it.

The issue is that the report he's going on about explicitly states that without lockdown things would have been much worse. The issue isn't what people believe, but people selectively using evidence.

That's an awful long post for someone who's"done".

You'd have to ask him, Graham.
