I'd bet he likes to think of himself as an 'expert' musician.)
Raised as a Jehovah's Witness, adopted the Church of Scientology, sang a duet with Cliff Richard (When God Shines His Light On Me) - with those troubles no wonder he has only written 5 original songs in his life.

    Mmmh.

I opine that Cliff's contribution to music fell off a cliff after Move It in '58 (with Ernie Shear on lead guitar).

So what. These places are more of luxury, rather than being essential, and if the custom is not there, it is not there.
I suspect that, in the future, some office workers might realise how much they have saved during lockdown by not using these places and will become less lazy by making their own sandwiches and take a flask to work.

Having said that, many won't know what a flask is!
There are lots of businesses that provide something we enjoy, but don't really produce anything except jobs - and jobs are of course very important, but not if the workers and/or their customers are exposed to high risk. So coffee shops, pubs, restaurants - some are lovely places normally - I used to visit one of the non chain local cafes almost every day. Pubs are the obvious high risk non productive settings - unless people are outside of course.

I am with Profs Edmunds and Van Tam - we need to take things more seriously. Closing indoor access to pubs/cafes/restaurants is unfortunately the obvious thing to do.

And yes, work from home, and support your local takeaway pub/cafe/small deli, not your city centre Pret.

First they ban playing sport, watching sport, then dancing (and woe betide anything closer), live music, then pubs, cafes, restaurants... you can only socialise with your close family, cover your face outside... if there wasn’t a killer virus going round I might ask who elected the Taliban? Or did ISIS actually play a long game and beat the West into a cocked hat?

Forget your Beatle band, the Pink Floyd, Led Zep and the Rolling Stones. Van’s Astral Weeks is the work of a genius and a high-water mark in rock music. It’s the perfect day today I reckon to have a listen but then every day is

Indeed. But there is only one high-water mark and he never reached it again.

And because it didn't sell he started writing Top 40 radio tracks like Moondance. Nice enough but no 9 minutes 25 seconds Madame George.

I had assumed Dave was an ex-railway man and believes all trips are "up" to Dublin (and London).
