Chin ups are easier. Pull ups are technically better as work the back more, but consequently are much harder to do.

Personally prefer chin ups as can do more, therefore getting a better workout... my pull-ups are so pitiful that i can't actually get a decent workout doing them.
Chin ups are certainly easier - I guess pull ups are "better" as they are harder, but if either exercise is done to failure surely the benefits are much the same, but just targeting different muscles.

I remember one morning before Broga - pre Covid - I did 5 pull ups then 9 chin ups - my record. It does show their relative difficulty.

EMOM this morning. 10 reps per minute for 10 consecutive minutes.

Times are seconds remaining on the countdown timer for each minute after x10 press-up reps completed.

    44-43-42-40-39-39-37-36-32-25

Easier than I imagined it would be. Could try x12 reps?

    23 - 17 - 15 - 13 - 13 - 10 - 10 - 10. I changed the gap between sets a bit - so I was dong a set every 5 minutes - so just a bit less than a full 5 minutes rest. Easier to time on my analog watch this way.

    My arms felt tired today.

That's really good going Mike. I think you're 'allowed' to feel a bit tired today especially given all the significant distances and altitude you're clocking up month after month, year after year, etc. Respect!

No run for me today, which is a shame as we've spent the day in glorious sunshine perched above a wonderful cloud inversion which has hovered about the 1000 feet mark. A bit of 25 feet tree surgery claimed my attention, so a more relaxing form of climbing and hand sawing plus axe-wielding workout.

Back to chest press-ups to failure tomorrow.

Push yesterday, so pull today: chin ups: 3-2-2-2-2-1-1-1. Set + rest = 5 minutes.

Sally attempt again this evening - 2 mins 23 secs - Urgh!

Spent the day running amongst the cloud inversions and sunshine around Wesdale and Bowderdale in the Howgills. And found one! So not a total loss 8.33 miles and 2176 feet, 1 hr 37 mins
