I listened to that too - a fascinating case.

Like WP says, people try to twist facts to fit their narrative.

Bottom line appeared to be that fewer people over 50 who had had the jab had died since than would be expected in normal circumstances. The original hysteria appeared to be connected to the amazing fact that a proportion of people over 50 die every year.
Correspondingly more people under 50 who hadn't had the jab died than should have been expected.

I watched a piece on ITV News Wednesday evening where Martin Stew "Health & Science Correspondent" was talking about the warm weather this week and advised us that heat kills far more people than cold.
I have asked him to show me the data - I'm still waiting.
The information available suggests cold is 20 times more of a killer across Europe.

What I find interesting on the MSM these days is the lengths they will go to - spouting clear lies - to promote a narrative they believe in.
I read that too WP, with interest. Especially because we now know the BBC were complicit with the Government's own 'Ministry Of Truth' to heighten fear and thereby ensure better compliance, even when the evidence they had indicated that, for example, masks (the kind most of the the public had access to) were useless, but acted as a visual reminder to us 'plebs' that we needed to remain scared and bunkered down (while the elites partied).

Ignoring stories; under-reporting; skewing the facts; selective choice of stories to fit the agenda; etc. are all part of the Beeb's proud history.

I'm still waiting for their fact checking department to confirm whether a biological man or woman will always remain as such, or whether 2+2 = 5. They remain strangely silent on that simple fact confirmation

I've examined this issue quite a lot and continue to do so. I haven't seen any data that would suggest the above is the case.

I'd be interested to see the source, or to listen to the piece if you can direct me to it.

For example, data shows that in the most vaccinated countries in what we would call the western world, excess deaths are above the 5 year average. If the above were accurate, one would expect the opposite.

England's figures can be broken down and the issues are across all age bands.

Cause? Who knows. I can only see the data and the timelines.

What really alarms me is that we have people dying across all age groups in England that shouldn't be and it's running in to the 10s of 1000s a year.

    No daily press conference.

No discussion in the media, unless it's dressed up in the way you seem to indicate - nothing to see hear folks.

And when an MP tries to get the Commons talking about it, he has the whip removed and is tarred and feathered. I haven't much time for Bridgen. I think he's a plank. But on this matter the issues he raise needed airing.

Same old dirty tactics that were employed on folk who questioned the policy decisions in 2020.

I am very suspicious of the suppression of any mention, let alone discussion, of the excess deaths. The figures have been elevated for some time, but it seems to be 'the subject that must not be mentioned'

Below is the graph produced last week by gov.uk

    https://www.gov.uk/government/statis...ek-1-2023-data

The office for national statistics says the same too

    https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulat...ng25august2023

Someone, somewhere, must have some knowledge as to what is causing it

"A naïve comparison of Covid mortality in vaccinated people and unvaccinated people, even if age-adjusted, is grossly misleading because the former have a lower risk of death to begin with. At least part of their lower Covid mortality, if not all, has nothing to do with the vaccine. They are simply healthier people than their unvaccinated counterparts. That’s called the healthy vaccinee bias." ( Dr. Eyal Shahar is a professor emeritus of public health in epidemiology and biostatistics. His research focuses on epidemiology and methodology. In recent years, Dr. Shahar has also made significant contributions to research methodology, especially in the domain of causal diagrams and biases)

Perhaps you should request the schedule of moderator hours of work so you would know to only post when the less immoderate moderator was on moderating duty?

Experts say, if the vaccinated appear to come out better it's the vaccine, but if they appear to come out worse it must be factors other than the vaccine.
