If you read the above article it offers the link below to the 'Deaths by vaccination status' page of the Office for National Statistics website.

There is a xlsx spreadsheet you can download (I have opened it and it is ok) where it lists 'Deaths involving COVID-19', and 'Non-COVID-19 deaths'. Looking at the data for 2023, whilst the deaths involving Covid-19 fall with the number of vaccine doses (with the odd discrepancy), the Non-Covid-19 deaths are significantly higher for vaccinated people unless they have had a fourth dose at least 21 days ago.
If you don't believe this, I strongly recommend you download the spreadsheet and see it for yourself

The source of the info I got was BBC R4s More or Less from about three weeks ago which should be available online. Personally for that particular programme I find the reports they make to be pretty credible.
I've just had a run through it and when i have time give it a more thorough listen, but it seems to me they've set up a strawman.
They have found a viral claim that to be frank I hadn't come across, so I'm not sure how viral it really was, admitted it was correct and then given a variety of stats to mitigated or undermine it without giving any validity to the claims made by their actuary guest.
For example the simple matter of what is a vaccinated person?
A distant relative on the wife's side died suddenly age 60 and seemingly fit and well, two days after posting on FB words to the effect of bloody hell this 2nd jab is vicious, I feel lie I'm dying".
He'll be unvaccinated because he hasn't gone 14 days since his 2nd jab.
The terminology over "vaccinated" really is a fantastic slight of hand for pharma because it moves a large % of folk from their side of the balance sheet.

Just a bit of fun as I'm sure you'll know.
I all seriousness I was only given mod powers as a bit of a prank by I think Brett or DT way back and they were quickly withdrawn but not fully.
I'd be quite happy for a full fledged moderator like you Noel to put me back as a rank and file member of the forum![]()

On the ONS spreadsheet I mentioned on this thread yesterday, the breakdown of vaccination status is:
Unvaccinated
First dose, less than 21 days ago
First dose, at least 21 days ago
Second dose, less than 21 days ago
Second dose, between 21 days and 6 months ago
Second dose, at least 6 months ago
Third dose or booster, less than 21 days ago
Third dose or booster, at least 21 days ago
Fourth dose or booster, less than 21 days ago
Fourth dose or booster, at least 21 days ago
It doesn't go beyond a fourth dose or booster, presumably as further doses were only available to the older age groups and vulnerable people.
I have been through the Non-COVID-19 deaths, and the last month with figures for 'Second dose, less than 21 days ago' is May 2022. I have posted an extract from the spreadsheet for this month, which shows the age-standardised mortality rate for this category was 2.53 times greater than the completely unvaccinated group.
