Moley has kindly provided some of his Old Tortoise home brew India Pale ale for the beer drinkers and if anyone can volunteer to knock up some lager and stout, that will round things out nicely.

As for bar snacks, I managed to unearth another old box from the outhouse. Its very old.....Golden Wonder crisps, Scampi Fries or Monster Munch anyone??

If you're going with trendy Gin and Craft Ale, then surely the snacks have to be Hand Crafted Kettle Chips in some obscure flavour.....

Actually, at home, i've been getting into those Indian Savoury snacks in favour of crisps.... large packs of dried nuts/seeds/chillis/puffed rice. Lovely.

Talking of snacks, myself and Mrs Mole headed for the pub on new year eve (arrived at 5pm and home by 6.30 - it’s an age thing).
Anyway, we had a treat, spotted a jar of pickled eggs behind the bar so a pickled egg dropped into a pack of ready salted crisps. Now that’s living

    Pickled eggs please.

Edit: They were “two farmers” crisps ( in compostable bags), very good they were too.

I hope that they were home pickled eggs in malt vinegar, that stained the white brown, rather than that clear insipid stuff that they put on chips in Scotland!
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

Unfortunately they were bought ones, but they weren't too bad for commercial eggs, had and seen much worse.
Possibly the novelty of taking the Missus out for a pickled egg and packet of crisps on new years eve ensured we enjoyed them - was like courting again!

Steady on there Moley.....there's enough warmth in Mole Towers from the nuclear reactor in the shed without you getting all excitable!

Thank goodnes I had the foresight to build the shed nuclear reactor.
I shall be warm and toasty whilst the rest of the country are watching stationary wind turbines, solar panels under grey skies and can't even boil a kettle.
Now, where's my backup uranium rod, think I left it in the cupboard under the stairs.

Well done Llani, first V60 at Nine Standards. Did you have time to look at the cairns whilst you were at the summit?

Well done indeed Llani....keeping the flag flying for our very senior group! Nice to have some racing chat at the bar rather than the usual health, kit, politics moans!
There's a free bag of pickled onion flavour monster munch for Llani when he comes in.....
