Er... going to the hairdressers doesn't count as training

Something like 13 miles I'd guess - I did it in 1 hour 47 anyway. Brilliant run either way.
    Superb run that Stolly.

Watch out for the ramps on the road along the riverside down by the Cavendish Pavilion. I came a cropper on one this summer.

If you mean those sleeping policeman, I tend to run on the grass beside the road (but even then there are the car parking area logs to watch out for). On the bit to Cavendish I guess I ought really to run the other side of the river anyway but I just like the full circuit with no ground covered twice. I do take the top path to the Strid which includes a lettle chug up a zig zag path just into the woods after Cavendish to make it just a tad harder

You're right though, its a fantastic run.

2 hours 20 with Emma, Dave & Shirley from Roddlesworth over Great Hill and Spitlers Edge to Winter Hill.
(Nearly lost Shirley in a bog!) Back through Belmont and around the reservoir.
Followed by full breakfast in Vaughn's Cafe watching the birds.
