The old NoEAA levy was £2 per person, which now with NoEAA being defunct is a £3 levy to England Athletics rising to £5 next year.
I suppose this is where the £5 comes from.
On the cost - I think this year the event will have much higher overheads than usual due to the International aspect to it. I would expect the cost to revert to normal for the subsequent races.
No, this is the membership registration scheme not unattached levies for individual races.
For roadrunning the levy is being scrapped, no idea how this affects fell running.
UKA
£20 is a tad expensive
There are £5000 of prizes next year (instead of a bottle of yourksghire 3P beer) and I heard rumour that the hosts of these events have to contribute towards the travel/accomodation cost of the top runners.
£5,000 divided by 800 entries is £6.25. Can I forego my share and pay £13.75 to enter instead? That would be a bit more reasonable.
I hope we all get a go on the bouncy castle.
