    School XC cub and then a run including 16x1min off 30 secs round Dovestones. Nice night for running.

    This is where running in the Dales and probably the Peak District is so much more 'dangerous' than the Lakes; in the Lakes once you hit the side of a hill or mountain at the fell gate usually you've just got sheep to worry about. In the Dales cows can roam most anywhere and the farmers love to release the odd bull amongst the herds July~August time too. Needless to say, fell runners from Yorkshire are tougher for the experience

    13 laborious and hot and humid miles on the road. 82 degrees f at 10.30am over here today - silly for this time of year.

    monday - hours swim
    tuesday - 2.20 hours fell run, 45 minute swim
    wednesday - hours swim, 26 miles on my bike
    thursday - hours swim, hour pootle on the bike
    friday - hours swim, 22 bike miles
    sat - NOWT!
    sun - 32 miles, 6000ft fell run then an hours circuit session!!

    off for a swim........................

    swimming today - legs not really with me, think I left them in the changing room - arms too for that matter but still did 2 x 400m, then some drills not bad considering!

    59:26 off road - about 8 miles. Had wanted to get under the hour. First one over 30 mins since the Isle Of Wight and felt good. I'll be bombing round the red light district in Frankfurt on Wednesday night!
