ian dark peak > how are you ,me and wolds ranger ran with you for a while talking about ginger nut biccy's i think, on the hp 40 , are you doing this one as well, we may see you there if so, how did the heli - training go ?
you've obviously not seen me in my shorts![]()
Yes I remember, we ran passed Marvins house together
Going well at the moment so I am planing to try and do the Round Rotherham. It will be good training for the Bradfield Boundary run at the end of Dec.
Helicopter training was great fun, Winched in and flown off to a remote bit of moorland where we picked up a 'casualty' and evacuated them. It was very windy but the flight was amazingly smooth. Obviously noisey and surprisingly warm. I asked one of the flight crew how many times they'd crashed/ditched and he replied 'I did want to know!'
Ian
thats right ian , up that bloody hill. whats the bradfield boundry all about i dont know that one may look at it myself. glad you enjoyed your jolly on the heli.was expecting to see you on long mynd and find out how bourbons are made ?.![]()
The Bradfield Boundary Run is traditionally run by Dark Peak and guests between Christmas and New Year to blow away those cobwebs, It is not a race but you are competeing against the clock to be in on time. It takes you round the edge of the Bradfield Parish Boundary which i'm told is the biggest in England.
48 miles in 12 hours in mid winter. A good day out.
Bourbons ....now thats another story
